Community Manager

Factory Tøyen is a brand new private workspace and cultural home on the East side of Oslo. We are looking for someone to help us run the space as a Community Manager. Our ambitions are grand, and we want to be the #1 destination for new ideas, inspired creatives, and thoughtful conversations. This is not your average Community Management Role.

 

About the Role

As a Community Manager at Factory Tøyen, you need to be a people person who sparks joy in those you meet, a creative thinker, and a problem-solver. You are the kind of person who remembers people’s names and stories, and your number one priority is making sure that our members get top value from their membership. You understand that the devil is in the detail.

 

As you will manage our membership platform and many of the moving pieces inside our system, it is crucial that you are organized and stay on top of things, while maintaining high energy levels and a positive attitude.

 

You will work alongside a team of dedicated people at Factory Tøyen; a founder and General Manager with larger-than-life aspirations for where they want to take this concept. As this is a startup at heart, you need to be structured and reliable, as things will move fast and we are likely to break some things along the way.

 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Being the community's "go-to person"

  • Establish a strong network of members by one-on-one socializing, event planning, and networking efforts

  • Assist with creating amazing membership experiences within our community and space

  • Preserve the highest level of service to our members

  • Manage the reception and lounge areas

  • Host tours for prospective members

  • Onboarding of new members

  • Manage all aspects of Guest Services and internal member communication

  • Take an active role in the growth of the community

  • Facility management, making sure the space is tidy and according to our quality standards

  • Support in marketing and event operations.

  • Build reports according to OKRs and metric formats

  • Help generate new ideas for how to curate better membership experiences

  • Manage our membership platform and CRM systems

 

Experience & Requirements:

  • 3+ years of work experience from coworking, hospitality, or similar

  • Excellent communication skills, verbally and written

  • Ability to connect well with people; warm and approachable

  • Strong administrative experience; in-depth knowledge of computer systems, platforms, and functions

  • Experience handling internal conflicts

  • Experience in marketing writing, social media, etc. is a plus
